Virtual Sim Hosting
The World-Text Virtual Sim Hosting (VSIM) solution give you a high performance & reliable method of receiving up to 50 SMS per second through a customer supplied SIM. The SIM can be used to receive SMS without the normal restrictions of SIM card hosting. Our service supports approximately 260 mobile networks worldwide and is a means of getting the performance of Virtual Mobile Numbers (VMNs) with the advantage of a national mobile number, e.g. a SIM from a mobile network in Spain which you wish to use to target users in Spain with.
Coverage & Roaming
One of the main advantages of the virtual hosted SIM service apart from being able to choose your own mobile number, is the ability to host foreign SIM's. These SIM's roam on a UK network but allow the provision of a mobile number that appears local to your required country. For a list of countries currently supported please see here.
Charges
Hosting charges can be found under the prices section of the main menu, in addition to these charges the customer is responsible for all ongoing service charges (and if relevant message charges) for the SIM that are charged by the supplying network.
The virtual numbers only exist within the database of the network that provides them, when a text message is sent to one of these numbers the network forwards it to one of our application servers, from here the incoming message is either processed or delivered to the client.
Incoming Messages can be processed for you using our Auto Responder service, this includes optionally delivering to your application by email or HTTP, or delivered straight to your application using SMPP.
Active monitoring of SIM's
It is recommended that all clients actively monitor the status of their SIM's, usually by the method of a 'Ping Pong' system - i.e. outbound message sent, inbound message received confirmation. We can provide upon request monitoring of your VSIM's for a small additional cost, please contact us for for further information.

Discounts are available on the setup charge for multiple SIM's setup at one time.
- Prices quoted are subject to VAT in addition.
- Setup is paid in advance.
- Rental is paid quarterly in advance.
- Minimum term is 6 months, unless otherwise agreed.
- VMN - These can receive inbound messages from a specific range of networks worldwide, for the coverage list please contact us.
- VSIM - It is not recommended that you use a 'Pre-Pay' SIM as these may be deactivated by the network if no out-bounds or top-ups are made.
