TWOWAY source address
The TWOWAY source address allows the recipient to reply to an email to SMS.
When you send a message with this source address, your message will be allocated a source address from a pool of inbound numbers, so that the recipient can reply to it. This source address, will be your inbound number for that recipient.
The replies are redirected to the mailbox from which the original message was sent.
- you can only receive messages from the persons to whom you sent a text message with the TWOWAY source address
- your inbound number you are allocated for a given recipient can change without notification, due to the way the inbound number are allocated when using TWOWAY.
- this strategy only works if you are using the Email to SMS gateway.
To setup the TWOWAY source address, you should go to the email gateway configuration page, and choose the TWOWAY source address from the list of available source address.
Shared virtual number
We also provide some shared inbound numbers, to which you can apply rules based on a keyword system.
The different rules allow you to redirect an inbound SMS to an email address, a web page, send an automatic reply,...
To setup a rule, go to the autoresponder page and follow the instructions.

Dedicated inbound number
It is also possible to obtain a dedicated inbound number. In that case, you will receive any message coming to that number, without needing a keyword.
The incoming messages can be redirected to an email, a http page, or to SMPP.
It is also possible to apply rules and keywords to that number.
If you are interested by a dedicated inbound number, you should contact us.

Virtual number
Virtual numbers are provided by networks and appear to be regular mobile numbers, however all these numbers are capable of is receiving text messages.
The virtual numbers only exist within the database of the network that provides them, when a text message is sent to one of these numbers the network forwards it to one of our application servers, from here the incoming message is either processed or delivered to the client.
This type of number can handle up to 30 SMS per second, depending on the speed of your network connection to our servers.
We only provide virtual UK and South African virtual numbers for the moment.

Roaming (Foreign SIM's)One of the main advantages of the virtual hosted SIM service apart from being able to choose your own mobile number, is the ability to host foreign SIM's. These SIM's roam on a UK network but allow the provision of a mobile number that appears local to your required country.
ChargesHosting charges can be found under the prices section of the main menu, in addition to these charges the customer is responsible for all ongoing service charges (and if relevant message charges) for the SIM that are charged by the supplying network.
